Zapfenzähne und Bioclear (Fall G.M.)

Die Patientin hat eine Normvariante der lateralen Schneidezähne, sogenannte Zapfenzähne. Nach Kieferorthopädie verbreitern wir diese nun mit Kunststoff mithilfe der Bioclear Technik. Danke, dass ich die Bilder veröffentlichen darf.

Peg Teeth and Bioclear (case of G.M.)

This patient has a variation of the norm of her lateral incisors, so called peg teeth. After some ortho we are going to widen them with composite and the help of Bioclear. Thanks to the patient for letting me publish the pictures.

Anfangsbefund: Zapfenzähne 12,22. Lücke 12 9mm breit, 22 8mm. Status nach erster Runde KFO mit Invisalign. Initial situation. Peg teeth 12, 22. Gap 12 9mm, 22 8mm. Status after the first round of ortho with Invisalign.
Farbwahl. 21: A1, 22 A2 -> Wahl fällt auf A2 Color choice. 21: A1, 22 A2 -> going for A2
Isolation mit Kofferdam. Als nächstes Sandstrahlung, ätzen, bonden. Isolation with rubberdam. Next step: sandblasting, etching, bonding.

Vorpolitur nur mit Discs Prepolish only with discs
Feinpolitur. Die Farbe der Nachbarzähne scheint aufgrund der Dehydrierung zu hell. Nach einigen Stunden wird die Farbe angeglichen sein. Die Patientin wird eine nächste Runde Kieferorthopädie in Angriff nehmen, sofern sie das wünscht. Fine polish. The color of the neighboring teeth seems too light due to dehydration. It will match after a few hours. Patient is off to the next step in ortho if she wishes.

Bisshebung mit Bioclear (Fall A.G.)

Diese Patientin leidet an Erosionen (säurebedingter Zahnverlust). Den Unterkiefer haben wir mit Kunststoff aufgebaut und eine Woche später den Biss angepasst. Danke an Frau A.G., dass ich die Bilder veröffentlichen darf.

minime Anpassungen, so wurde die Patientin entlassen. Da beide Seiten anästhesiert waren, mussten wir uns auf meine objektive Anpassung verlassen – für’s erste. ——– Minimal occlusal adjustments. Because it was all anesthesized we had to rely on my objectivity – for now.

So kam sie wieder. Sie fühlte sich gut, stimmte aber zu, dass Anpassungen nötig waren. —– This is how she returned. She felt okay, but agreed that the fillings needed adjustments in their height.

Bisshebung nach Dahl (Fall R.B.)

Diese Patientin klagte über eine wiederkehrende Schwellung im Gaumen. Ich entdeckte einen wegen ihres Tiefbisses massiven Einbiss in die Papilla Inzisiva. Kieferorthopädie kam aufgrund der schwierigen Voraussagbarkeit und der damit verbundenen Finanzen nicht in Frage. Bei Dr. Horst Landenberger habe ich die Dahl-Technik erlernt, und so hat sich Frau R.B. entschlossen, mein erster Dahl-Fall zu werden.

Ich habe ihr Komposit-Plateaus auf die Oberkieferfrontzähne geklebt, die Unterkieferfront verbreitert und so eine grossflächige Abstützung erzielt. Der Biss wurde geöffnet. Nun hiess es warten, bis die Seitenzähne elongierten, bis sie wieder miteinander Kontakt hatten. Die Patientin ist sehr zufrieden. Danke an Frau R.B., dass ich die Fotos veröffentlichen darf.

Raising of the Vertical Dimension with Dahl (case of R.B.)

This patient complained about a recurrent swelling in the palatum. I had discovered that because of the massive overbite she bit into her papilla incisiva. Because of the non-predictability of ortho and the financial cost coming with it, the patient consented to be my first case following the Dahl principle that I had learnt from Dr. Horst Landenberger.

I glued composite plateaus palatal of her upper front, broadened the lower front and established an even front support. Now we had to wait until the side elongated until they were in contact. The patient is very happy. Thanks to Mrs. R.B. for letting me publish these pictures.

Die Patientin stört sich an der Ästhetik des Zahns 11 – dem letzten natürlichen Zahn der oberen Front. Wir haben uns für die einfachste Variante – einem direkten Veneer aus Komposit – entschlossen. Vielen Dank für die Erlaubnis zur Publikation.

Dieser Patient kam zu uns, weil ihn seine abgebrochenen Frontzähne störten. Da das Problem tiefer liegt (Bisshöhenverlust, Säureschäden etc), wird eine reine Frontsanierung sehr risikobehaftet sein und droht frühzeitig zu brechen.
Gemeinsam mit dem Patienten haben wir uns entschlossen, das Dahl-Prinzip anzuwenden. Die Folge wird nach hoffentlich erfolgreicher Therapie separat veröffentlicht.

Direct Composite Veneers (case of J.A.)

This patient came to see us because he was bothered by the fractured front teeth. Because the problem lies deeper (loss of bite height, erosion etc), a simple front restoration is at high risk for fracturing.
Together with the patient we have decided to work with the Dahl-principle. The follow up will be posted separately after the hopefully successful therapy.
